Ben Stiller
Here is a genius investment decision. Find out what graphic novel is soon to be published and get whatever loans necessary to buy the screen rights to it. Then, when the studios come calling, sell at an upgraded price. Cha-ching, classic capitalism!
One such upcoming publication I should have got in on was Oni Press's The Return of King Doug, which DreamWorks is now all over.
DreamWorks and Stiller Team for The Return of King Doug
DreamWorks and Ben Stiller are teaming up to adapt The Return of King Doug. Stiller is currently attached to produce, but the film could quickly become a starring vehicle for the funnyman.
Written by Greg Erb and Jason Oremland, King centers on a man who must return to the fantasy world which he abandoned 30 years earlier.
Stiller has got a couple projects coming our way starting with Tropic Thunder.
