Written by Rachel Cohn and David Levithan and adapted by Amy Andelson and Emily Meyer, No Kiss List takes place in Manhattan, where Naomi and her gay best friend Ely protect their soulmate friendship by creating a list of people deemed off limits for smooching. Their friendship is imperiled when Ely kisses Naomi's boyfriend.

Cohn and Levithan are experienced with having their novels adapted for film, as their past title, Nick and Norah's Infinite Playlist, was picked up by Sony and Mandate Pictures.
