William Monahan has taken it upon himself, with the help of Quentin Curtis, to acquire the rights to the Ken Bruen novel London Boulevard. He has nearly completed the script with plans to make his directing debut with the adaptation.
William Monahan to Write and (Possibly) Direct London Boulevard
A crime drama, London Boulevard revolves around a South London criminal who, after release from prison, tries to give up the gangster life by becoming a handyman for a reclusive young actress.
Monahan has been busy adapting crime dramas including The Gamblers, The Chaser for Warner Bros and, you might recognize this one, The Departed.
Curtis used to work under MGM is a former production exec.
