Further proof on the importance of red bands, the latest R-rated preview released for Street Kings does the film justice.

Gangsters and cops cursing like sailors, everybody's getting shot, characters spilling blood by the gallons...
Now this is what I expect from a cop drama. While I first thought Street Kings would likely fall into the bracket of mediocre cop genre, things are looking up. Not only does the red band trailer deliver in both language and violence -- no nudity, however -- but it also gives us a much better idea of what to expect from the film's story; which actually has some depth.
Crooked cops who are willing to go after their own? Full-blown shootouts? A non-Neo Keanu Reeves who still manages to look tough?
