Candice Bergen has agreed to bring her wittiness and sass to Bride Wars, a romantic comedy from Fox 2000 and New Regency.

Directed by Gary Winick off a script by June Diane Raphael and Casey Wilson, Bride Wars stars Kate Hudson and Anne Hathaway.
The film's story revolves around best friends (Hudson and Hathaway) who are pitted against each other when their wedding dates clash. They compete for venues, services and guests. Bergen has been cast to play Marion St. Claire, the queen of all wedding planners.
Filming begins this month in Boston.
Bergen should be up for the gig, as her last film, The In-Laws, proved that she could match up to the comedic talents of Ryan Reynolds, Michael Douglas and Albert Brooks.
