To be directed by Bad Santa scribes Glenn Ficarra and John Requa, I Love You Phillip Morris follows a married father (Carrey) who is sent to prison and falls in love with a cellmate named Phillip Morris. His love leads him to make several escape attempts. Mann has been cast to play Carrey's wife.
EuropaCrop. is fully financing the black comedy with Besson serving as executive producers.
Though Leslie Mann has been keeping pretty close to hubby Judd Apatow with films such as Knocked Up and an upcoming untitled project featuring Adam Sandler and Seth Rogen, she can next be seen opposite Zac Efron in New Line's 17 Again.
