Hack/Slash
Though we have been discussing Hack/Slash ever since we thought Megan Fox was getting involved -- this was back in July, 2007 -- Rogue Pictures has only now found somebody to adapt the comicbook.
Justin Marks to Adapt Hack/Slash
Rogue Pictures has picked up Justin Marks to adapt Hack/Slash for Todd Lincoln to helm.
Created by Tim Seeley and Stefano Caselli, Hack/Slash revolves around Cassie Hack, a young woman who travels the country and takes on homicidal maniacs and serial killers along the way.
Rogue plans to have the actioner be heavy on both comedy and horror.
Adaptation specialists, Adrian Askarieh and Daniel Alter, are onboard to produce. The duo last oversaw Hitman for Fox and have built up a reputation for handling comicbook and video game adaptations. They have several projects in the works including Lost Squat at Rogue, Kane and Lynch at Lionsgate, and Spy Hunter at Universal.
Marks has also got some experience with adapting popular franchises. The scribe is currently scripting Voltron: Defender of the Universe for New Regency and Fox; He-Man and the Masters of the Universe for Joel Silver and toymaker Mattel at Warner Bros.; and the Green Arrow actioner Supermax, also at WB. As a bit of icing on the cake, he also penned Street Fighter for Fox.
