Things are moving fast for All Good Things! Dunst and Gosling were quickly picked up back in January with Frank Langella and Jeffrey Dean Morgan rounding out the cast only this week. Now that the film has what I think we can call an ensemble, The Weinstein Company found enough confidence in the project that they have purchased its North American distribution rights.
Wait - has this film even begun filming yet?
TWC Acquires All Good Things
The answer is no. Budgeted at $20 million, All Good Things is set to begin filming this month in New York and Connecticut.
Set in the 1980s, All Good Things centers on the scion of a New York real estate dynasty (Gosling) who falls for a beautiful girl from the wrong side of the tracks (Dunst). But the fairy tale ends when the girl disappears. As a down-and-out detective stumbles on info that may lead to the truth, the political stakes get higher and people close to the case end up dead.
Andrew Jarecki will direct All Good Things off a script by him, Marc Smerling and Marcus Hinchey.
