Demi Moore
I was going through our list of casting updates over the past few years and was shocked to see extremely little from Demi Moore. She must have been feeling the same way, as Moore has agreed to back-to-back starring roles in two independent films.
Demi Moore for Happy Tears and Bunraku
Up first for Moore is Happy Tears. She will co-star with Parker Posey. Written and directed by Mitchell Lichtenstein, Happy Tears follows a woman (Posey), prone to self-aggrandizement, who returns to her Wisconsin home and must deal with her bitter sister and her father, who suffers from a rare form of dementia. Moore plays the sister, fed up with dealing with the hateful father.
Once she wraps that, Moore will move onto Bunraku with Woody Harrelson. Written and directed by Guy Moshe, the film follows a man (Josh Hartnett) on a revenge quest who finds himself in an even bigger fight than he bargained for. Moore plays the enslaved concubine of a warlord who is forced to marry her captor. Harrelson plays a bartender.
We last saw Moore opposite Kevin Costner in Mr. Brooks.
