Iron Man
If there is one thing for certain, it is that trailers can be extremely deceiving. A couple great examples include The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe, Fantastic Four, Fantastic Four 2 and Stealth; just to name a few. All the listed films looked great over the course of a couple minutes, but turned out average-at-best when shown in their entire running. The trailers and clips for Iron Man have been getting better and better by the day and, though I hate getting to hyped on a project, the film now looks like it kicks loads of ass.
So - The screening reports are in and they say...
Screening Reports: Iron Man
The good people at AICN have received a plethora of screening reports for Iron Man and just about all of them are drooling over the film.
(Review 1)
I personally think that the movie was better than all of the X-Men movies, and i would put it up there with the first Spider Man.
(Review 2)
I saw Iron Man yesterday. I have never read the comic but loved the film. Intelligent script, great character development and Robert Downey is terrific. Plenty of wonderful effects but nicely spaced so you feel you getting a real movie.
(Review 3)
Being a long time comic book geek who has seen some of his favorite characters butchered in these film adaptations, it was an immense relief to be absolutely blown away by the sheer awesomeness that is Iron Man! I mean, I’m talking brain scattered all over the floor, eyes drowning in tears with a smile so big on my face, it would make the Joker envious. This film was Favreau’s iron fist of cool with a side order of the brilliance that is Robert Downey Jr. Everything I thought this movie would be was shaken and stirred into something even better, and the end result came out fantastic.
