Uma Thurman
Katherine Dieckmann is looking to bring in some female intimidation by casting Uma Thurman and Minnie Driver for her upcoming indie comedy Motherhood.
Uma Thurman, Minnie Driver and Anthony Edwards for Motherhood
What do I mean by intimidating? Well, Uma Thurman is tall for one, and she showed her more psycho side in Super Ex-Girlfriend and Kill Bill. In short - cross her and she can kick your ass. Minnie Driver, on the other hand, is a Caucasian with the ability to show more sass than an entire cast of Cats. See Phantom of the Opera for point of reference.
But I digress...
Uma Thurman, Minnie Driver and Anthony Edwards have been cast for Motherhood, a film written and directed by Katherin Dieckmann.
The day-in-the-life feature has Thurman as a harried mother of two prepping for her daughter’s sixth birthday party as myriad urban challenges confront her. Driver and Edwards will play Thurman’s best friend and husband, respectively.
Though the film has been tagged with 'indie', it does have a nice sum of $10 million at its disposal; not bad for a comedy. It's 25-day shoot begins May in Gotham.
