Cloverfield
(This article contains spoilers)
The good people at STYD caught up with Cloverfield star Michael Stahl-David to see if the actor planned on having any involvement in the film's sequel. The only catch is that we figured his character died by the end. Not so says the site:
During the chat, our conversation turned to the faint post-credits dialogue that might imply Rob and girlfriend Beth may live to see another day. "I think it's: 'Are you still there?'," then, "'I'm still here," says Stahl-David. "That's what it is."
Interesting. I thought if you played back a noise heard during the credits (backwards) you can hear his character death rattle out that the monster was still alive. Hmm, either way, it is at least possible for him to return.
Michael Stahl-David Eyeing the Cloverfield Sequel
Should that be the case, has he heard any rumblings about the proposed Cloverfield 2?
"I think they're still trying to figure out how they're going to pull it off," the actor laughs. "They have some ideas they're excited about but they're really not sharing them with many people...and they're not sharing them with me."
Stahl-David goes on to agree that seeing him running around for a second time might not be the best idea creatively. A cameo role, however, would suffice.
