Jeremy Piven, who has become popular with all the masses thanks to his role as Ari on HBO's Entourage, has found a similar role that sounds more than fitting. The actor who at one time in his life didn't have hair has joined the revival of David Mamet's satire Speed-the-Plow.
Jeremy Piven for Speed-the-Plow
Piven will play one of two dueling movie producers in the three-hander. Speed-the-Plow also will mark the first Broadway credit for director Neil Pepe, a.d. of Off Broadway's Atlantic Theater Company (which Mamet co-founded).
Plow has been absent from Broadway ever since it premiered 20 years ago.
Piven is right for the job, as not only does he have the experience of playing Ari Gold, but he also did Broadway in 2004 with Fat Pig.
