It looks like the casting on Angels & Demons is picking up pace. After being told that Israeli actress Ayelet Zurer has joined the cast as the coveted role of Vittoria Vetra, we are now finding out that Ewan McGregor is also game.

Ewan McGregor is in talks with Columbia Pictures to join the cast of Angels & Demons as a powerful Vatican insider who assists Langdon.
The adaptation centers on religious art scholar Robert Langdon (Hanks), who once again finds himself entangled with powerful forces with ancient roots: the Illuminati -- the most powerful underground organization in history -- and the Catholic Church. Zurer will play Vittoria Vetra, an Italian scientist who joins forces with Langdon.
Ron Howard will return to direct off a script by Akiva Goldsman.
