It looks like Paramount didn't think Transformers was funny/goofy enough. To ensure even more laughs for the sequel, the studio is branching out to more comedic talent. They decided to start with Judd Apatow's phonebook and what did they find?
Jonah Hill in Talks for Transformers 2
EW's Hollywood Insider reports that Jonah Hill is in talks to replace Shia LaBeouf in Transformers 2. Just kidding - but he is looking to co-star.
Jonah Hill is in early negotiations to costar opposite Shia LaBeouf in Transformers 2 for DreamWorks and Paramount. Hill (Superbad, Forgetting Sarah Marshall) will provide the comic relief as a sidekick to Shia's Sam Witwicky. (A source tells EW.com that he'll play Sam's college roommate, but DreamWorks won't confirm.) The sequel is set to begin shooting this summer.
Watching Hill react to giant robots sounds awesome.
