Being impressed by the new trailer(s) for Hancock I had tried to forget all those negative screening reports claiming that the film was a disaster. How could this be? The trailers look so cool. Hoping that the reviews were an affect of 'early' screenings of an unfinished film, my hopes remained high...
... Only to be smashed once again on the rocks below.
Hancock Gets Another Neg
A new screening for Hancock took place yesterday and, by the sounds of it, nothing much has changed.
When one of the studio lackeys announced that the film we were seeing was Hancock the reaction was, to say the least, subdued. The usual pre-amble followed about how the effects were not totally rendered, some shots were not color corrected, etc.
Well, Mr. Goldman was right to be nervous... the film is an unmitigated mess...
