Pierce Brosnan
It looks like Pierce Brosnan will be keeping busy over the next year or two. Though he's already set to eat a Vanilla Gorilla while wearing a second Thomas Crown, the actor has found time to co-star with Susan Sarandon in The Greatest.
Pierce Brosnan, Susan Sarandon for The Greatest
Barbarian Films has picked up Pierce Brosnan and Susan Sarandon to star in The Greatest, a drama that marks the directing debut of Shana Feste.
Also written
by Feste, The Greatest revolves around a young girl who throws into chaos a family that is trying to get over the loss of a teenage son. Brosnan and Sarandon play the grieving parents.
"What drew us to this piece is Shana's rare ability to uniquely dramatize the complicated dynamics of a family's struggle to stay together as they deal with unforeseen tragedy," said producer Beau St. St. Clair.
Filming is set to begin this summer on the East Coast.
Brosnan can next be seen in Mamma Mia! Sarandon is currently working on a somewhat similar idea with Peter Jackson's The Lovely Bones.
