Twister Twister
I was no fan of Twister. To me, the spectacle of destruction is not enough to sit through a non plot about chasing wind, only to run from it. However, I thought the flying cow would look cool on Blu Ray.

On Blu-Ray: Twister

Man, the movie sure looks great. After so many half assed releases of 10-year-old movies, Twister is so sharp and detailed. The deep darks and bright day lit nature scenes all look brand new.

The scenes change sharply when the dark clouds approach, and you can even see the contrast in long shots. You see the shape of every cloud wrapping around itself, and there's some good debris and wisps of hair too. When it starts raining, the wetness ads a shine and some new blues.

Some of the sweeping landscapes are blurry. They just didn't preserve the HD detail back in the day. The cow is actually underwhelming, just a dark mass. Other, less showy stuff, is much more impressive.
