First Sunday
Not every Blu Ray is going to be a "blow you away" home theater demo. Some will just be movies that come out. First Sunday is a new release so it is available on Blu Ray, and it is simply a solid transfer.
On Blu-Ray: First Sunday
There are no stunning visuals in First Sunday, just some city back alleys and a somewhat dilapidated church. Every once in a while you may see a crusty wall or some other detail but mainly it's just a sharp film set.
There are two or three interesting lighting schemes but it's not that kind of movie either. There are a couple shiny oily or sweaty scenes too but those are just standard HD effects.
No, First Sunday is just the type of movie where, if you want to see it, the Blu Ray looks just as good as seeing it in theaters. Since you surely didn't see it there, this is your best bet for home viewing.
