Transporter 2
With production now wrapped on Transporter 3, it was only a matter of time before some studio picked up on it. Seeing an opportunity to fill their tank with action, Lionsgate has picked up the domestic and Canadian distribution rights for the Jason Statham-starrer.
Lionsgate Rides With Transporter
The third Transporter also stars Robert Knepper and Francois Berleand. You know - the French dude that we've seen in previous installments. Principal photography wrapped on the film last month -- filming took place in France and Russia -- and the sequel is now in post-production.
Olivier Megaton will direct the third Transporter off a script by Luc Besson and Robert Mark Kamen. Lionsgate has announced a Thanksgiving release for the film.
The franchise has earned over $130 million with the previous two installments.
