Ed Helms
Another once-Daily Show correspondent going big with film, Ed Helms has used The Office as his stepping stone into Hollywood. Well, that's not exactly true, as the actor has been seen in Meet Dave, Harold & Kumar II, Semi-Pro, Walk Hard and Evan Almighty. Okay, okay, so he's done a lot, but now he will be doing even more.
Ed Helms for Manure and Night at the Museum II
Ed Helms will first get in front of the camera for the indie comedy Manure, where he will star alongside Billy Bob Thornton.
Directed by Mark and Michael Polish off a script they wrote, Manure revolves around a trio of manure salesmen in 1960s heartland America. Helms will play Chet, a womanizing manure peddler.
Tea Leoni and Kyle MacLachlan have already boarded the film, which is shooting in Los Angeles.
Once done with Manure, Helms will then move on to 20 Century Fox's Night at the Museum II: Escape from the Smithsonian, where he has a supporting role; he will play a co-worker of Ben Stiller's character. Shooting on the sequel is expected to begin in Vancouver this month. Shawn Levy is onboard to direct.
