The cast for Transformers 2 continues to slowly cumulate. Looking for a new face to throw on fatigues, Paramount has found up-and-comer Matthew Marsden.
Matthew Marsden to Battle Transformers (2)
After popping in on films such as Rambo, Black Hawk Down and Resident Evil: Extinction, Marsden has enough military training for a role in Transformers 2. MTV Movie Blog has learned that the 34-year old actor has been brought on to counterbalance Rainn Wilson's humor.
Marsden has been cast in the role of “Graham,” a character who is part of the British Special Forces. Although the film’s plot is being kept under the tightest veils of secrecy, it is known that the flick will depict an even more worldly battle than the first “Transformers” film, and will shoot all over the globe. In the sequel, Graham teams with Duhamel and Tyrese’s military characters, joining their efforts as they do battle with the evil Decepticons.
An avid biker and swimmer, the burly Marsden seems well-prepared to do battle alongside Duhamel’s Captain Lennox and Tyrese’s Sergeant Epps.
Michael Bay was supposedly so impressed with Matthew Marsden that he has beefed up the role of Graham from the original script.
