Remaining quite the busy bee, Leonardo DiCaprio has been picked up by Paramount Pictures to star in Atari. As you might have guessed, the film covers one of the first consoles for television gaming.

Leonardo DiCaprio Cast for Atari

Written by Brian Hecker and Craig Sherman, project is a biopic about entrepreneur Nolan Bushnell, the creator of Atari who is credited for being one of the founders of the videogame industry.

Bushnell and Ted Dabney founded Atari in 1972, which delivered arcade games, home video games and computers to the masses.

Bushnell has been approached before about a biopic, but it was Hecker who convinced him that they could do his unique story justice.

DiCaprio will produce through his Appian Way banner. He is currently filming Martin Scorsese's Shutter Island.
