Star Wars: The Clone Wars
We all know that the Clone Wars took place over an extended amount of time in the Star Wars Universe -- started in Episode II and ended at the end of Episode III -- and that we only got a brief taste of it in the new trilogy. In order for Star Wars: The Clone Wars to fill us in on more events that occurred during the Clone Wars, the film is looking to have an extended running time.
Star Wars: The Clone Wars Running Time
While films running over two hours has become habit in the new century, it is rare to see an animation approach the mark. According to Fandongo, the official running time for Star Wars: The Clone Wars falls on 121 minutes, or 2 Hours and 1 Minute.
Long for a live action? No. Long for an animation? Hell yes! If the film turns out having the quality of either of the two Clone Wars volumes, then these two hours will be very well spent. If the film turns out like Phantom Menace I might just sue Lucas for the loss of those two hours.
Star Wars: The Clone Wars will hit theaters on August 15th.
