Over the next few years we should expect a lot more films checking in under the genre "action comedy." Pineapple Express is doing it. Tropic Thunder is doing. Just about everybody is doing it. And now Seth Rogen and Jay Baruchel plan to team up to do it. No, no - not that 'it'.
Seth Rogen and Jay Baruchel vs. the Apocalypse
Mandate Pictures has picked up Seth Rogen and Jay Baruchel to co-star in Jay and Seth vs. the Apocalypse.
Based on a comedy short from Superbad scribes Seth and Evan Goldberg, Jay and Seth vs. the Apocalypse revolves around two guys dealing with the apocalypse. The project already received some hype when a faux trailer for the short appeared over at YouTube.
Mandate is hoping to film the pic in 2009.
You can next see Jay Baruchel in Tropic Thunder while Seth Rogen appears in this summer's other action comedy, Pineapple Express.
