Judd Apatow has decided on both a title and a cast for his next project, Funny People.
Jonah Hill, Eric Bana, Jason Schwartzman for Funny People
Co-financed by Universal Pictures and Columbia Pictures, Funny People now features an ensemble cast that includes Adam Sandler, Seth Rogen, Leslie Mann, Jonah Hill, Eric Bana and Jason Schwartzman. The only part of the cast I can't figure out is Eric Bana. Maybe he will serve as a buffer to the rest of the cast's funny-ness. Wait, maybe I'm being too hard on Bana. He had a couple witty lines in Troy, right? How about, Black Hawk Down? No? Then The Hulk for sure.
While Judd Apatow is trying to keep the film's plot under wraps, he was willing to admit that the movie place in the world of standup comedy and the focus is on a comedian who has a near-death experience.
But back to Bana...
It turns out that Eric Bana began his career as a comic on the standup circuit in Australia. He even played host to a couple comedy series including Full Frontal and The Eric Bana Show. Who knew?!
