The Muppet Show - The Complete Third Season
There are some big extras on the third Muppet Show DVD collection, the least of which are new Muppet menus. The banter is funny, with Muppet-like digs at the viewer for taking too long to choose from menu selections.
On DVD: The Muppet Show - The Complete Third Season
The doozy is a 60 minute black and white puppet special. This is inside Henson, and even he fills it with cute Muppet banter. It is quaint, informative and with lots of puppeteering demos, really shows the artists at work.
A 10 minute new spot on the puppeteers mixes old B roll with new talking heads. There's a reason the retrospective is one sixth the length of the original spot. That's about all the added value it is.
Finally, some Purina pet food commercials show Rowlf's first appearance. They are cute both for the jokes and for the style of '60s commercials that were much more direct and less choppy.
