Blades of Glory
I had a feeling Blades of Glory would be one of Paramount's first Blu Ray releases. Not just because it was recent and successful, but it is just a visual spectacles that can showcase hi-def detail.
Blu-Ray Review: Blades of Glory
All the shiny, sparkly, colorful costumes were made for Blu Ray. You'll see all the detail in the flashy wardrobe. Also all the tracks in the ice and flakes scraped off provide subtle and specific details for HDTVs.
The sleek, wet ice shines and glistens. Sometimes the ice is grainy, the sort of equivalent of a grainy sky. There's always something.
Of course you want to see naked Will Ferrell in hi-def, with each curly chest hair. Outdoor winter landscapes look crisp and even the dirty bathroom is full of nicks and crud.
