Guy Ritchie working with Robert Downey Jr.? Sounds too good to be true. In his first gig since the blockbuster hit, Iron Man, Robert Downey Jr. has agreed to star in Sherlock Holmes, the drama Guy Ritchie is prepping to direct at Warner Bros.

Robert Downey Jr. committed to the project after Ritchie turned in a polished version of the script, written by Anthony Peckham.
The role couldn't have come at a better time, as it will require both brains and brawn. Now that Robert Downey Jr. has proven himself as an action star, he couldn't have been a better fit.
The film borrows material from both Sir Arthur Conan Doyle's classic tales along with the comicbook Sherlock Holmes.
The film is set to enter production this October.
Robert Downey Jr. can next be seen as a black actor in the upcoming comedy Tropic Thunder.
