Ghost Town
While the title Ghost Town would suggest something that takes place in a dusty setting, this Ricky Gervais comedy is set in the big city. The film reminds me a bit of the Sixth Sense, but without the twist ending, scary moments, and M. Night Shyamalan.
Trailer: Ghost Town
The plot to Ghost Town is at least interesting and, with Ricky Gervais onboard, very humorous. After having a colonoscopy, Bertram Pincus (Gervais) realizes that he can now see ghosts. Feeling ill, he returns to the hospital where he had the procedure to learn he died on the table for seven minutes. Well - a little less.
Bothered by the spirits just as Whoopi Goldberg was bothered by Patrick Swayze in Ghost, Bertram is forced to complete a mission for one particular ghost (Greg Kinnear) in order to get the entire lot off his back.
