The X-Files: I Want to Believe
Don't count The X-Files: I Want to Believe out just yet, as that negative review we posted earlier now has a counter response. Clint over at Moviehole alerted me to their review of the film and it offers some different feelings towards the sequel.
X-Files: I Want to Believe Gets a Positive
Below you will find a snippet from a positive review for The X-Files 2. Feel free to double-check it against the negative. Looks like this one might come down to the viewer.
Fans of the show will love it – there’s lot of in-jokes, cameos, and, of course, some surprises in store story-wise! – And I don’t see those off the street having a problem with the flick either. They’ll be sure to be drawn into the thrilling plotline and won’t feel too much of an alien in this unfamiliar terrain - anything they need to know can be explained in an easy sentence (Previous knowledge is not required as much here as it was in the previous film “Fight the Future” – it really is a great stand-alone piece).
“The X-Files: I Want to Believe” isn’t just a love letter to X-Philes, it’s a tremendous film in it’s own right...
I wasn't a big fan of the series, but I did see the first movie. Does that count? No? Dang it. Check out the entire report on The X-Files 2here.
The X-Files: I Want to Believe opens to theaters on July 25th.
