Jennifer Lopez
I am Jennifer Lopez! I have been a fan of that name ever since South Park put the "Ennifer" of "Bennifer" on the cuttingboard plate. When it comes to the actual actress, I can go either way; it ultimately depends on the airbrushing.
But I digress...
Yari Film Group has picked up Jennifer Lopez to star in the romantic comedy The Governess.
Jennifer Lopez for The Governess
Written by Kevin Wade, The Governess centers on a professional thief who, in order to pull off a major bank heist, poses as a nanny to the three unruly children of a wealthy widower. When she starts to fall for the kids and their father, she must decide if she can give up her past for a chance to start over.
I'm going to assume that she decides not to go through with it, but in some way or another some person from her past arrives and calls her out. Yada, yada, yada.
Nigel Cole will direct after Don Roos finishes polishing the script.
Lopez should find a comfort level with the script, as it was Wade who also penned the Lopez-starrer Maid in Manhattan. The Governess begins filming in Massachusetts this fall.
