Marvin the Martian
It looks like Marvin the Martian has one less reason to be angry. Thanks to involvement from Warner Bros and Alcon Entertainment, the Looney Tunes character will be transported to the bigscreen.
Marvin the Martian Feature
Warner Bros plans on going big with the character through a mixture of live-action and CGI.
Marvin the Martian was created by Chuck Jones and made his first appearance in a Looney Tunes cartoon in 1948. The character was dedicated to blowing up the Earth but, like the castaways on Gilligan's Island, was never successful at his aims.
The Marvin the Martian story that Alcon plans to make sounds more Grinch than Marvin. The project was pitched as a Christmas story, with Marvin coming to Earth to destroy Christmas but being prevented from doing so when he’s trapped in a gift box. Alcon is currently looking for a writer and a director.
Though the people who know the character have aged far beyond their teens, Alcon plans on aiming the project at the family market.
