While I liked Tim Burton's decision on Alice, Mia Wasikowska, I'm absolutely geeked on who he's thinking to play the Mad Hatter. Donning a top hat in a couple roles, Johnny Depp does seem like the perfect match.
All we now need to do is splash some mercury on him and he won't even need to act.

Actor Johnny Depp was chosen to play "Mad Hatter" in Tim Burton's version of "Alice in Wonderland". Burton was hired by Disney studios to make the 3D version if Lewis Carrol's classic. Depp is the second confirmed cast member. Australian Mia Wasikowska will play Alice.
