Sex Drive
When Summit Entertainment released the first poster (previewed right) for Sex Drive the comedy immediately caught my interest. The poster was so wrong, but it got the er, point across. The cast looked strong enough, but having not heard anything about the film's production made me cautious.
But then Summit had to go and release the film's first trailer and it's freakin' hilarious.
Sex Drive Trailer
I have so many confessions to make when watching this trailer. The topic of hooking up with somebody online is instantly funny, as I know friends who have actually gone through that whole "Match" process. Hell, I might even know a couple peeps who have met folks of the opposite sex through MySpace or Facebook. I've never done it, but I've heard things.
What also should have you laughing about Sex Drive are the supporting roles played by James Marsden, who I've always appreciated, and Seth Green. Marsden as a 909 meathead is classic, but having Seth Green as an Amish person just drives the laughs home. The film claims to share the same roots as (the original) American Pie, and so far I can only agree.
