Jackie Chan
Jackie Chan remains addicted to action comedy. The martial arts expert sometimes confused as a stunt double has recently signed on to star in The Spy Next Door, a film that will allow Chan to continue down the road of high-kicking hijinks.
Chan is The Spy Next Door
To be written by Jonathan Bernstein and Jim Greer, The Spy Next Door centers on a man (Chan) who is called to baby-sit his neighbor's children and winds up having to fight off secret agents after one of the kids inadvertently downloads a secret code.
Though Jackie Chan has recently turned to action drama with The Shinjuku Incident, a film that has him starring as a Chinese immigrant who moves to Japan to pursue his former girlfriend, he can't help but remain close to comedy. Chan's Rush Hour films have earned more than $500 million in the US alone; a number that not even a hesitant Chris Tucker could pass up.
Brian Levant, known for studio comedies such as Are We There Yet?, will direct The Spy Next Door.
