Doing what he does best, Quentin Tarantino is switching things up for Inglorious Bastards. The director has picked up Hostel director Eli Roth to join the cast.
Eli Roth for Tarantino's Bastards
Roth is one of a few new faces currently in talks for chosen roles. If he agrees, Roth will play Sgt. Donnie Donowitz.
Brad Pitt
is in talks to play Aldo Raine, leader of a rogue band of Jewish-American soldiers who wreak havoc on the bad guys in Nazi-occupied France.
Roth has a bit of experience getting in front of the camera for Tarantino, as he had a small role in one of the faux movie trailers that played during Grindhouse. But those who know Roth know that he and Quentin Tarantino have been close ever since Tarantino stamped his name on Roth's breakout directing hit, Hostel.
Tarantino was wooing Leonardo DiCaprio for the role of SS Col. Hans Landa, but decided that the role should be played by a German actor.
