MGM Joins the Fight with Wardogs

After a brief bidding war, MGM purchased the action-comedy pitch -- currently titled Wardogs -- from scribes Ken Kaufman and David Agosto. The studio is moving quick, as they have already got Get Smart helmer Peter Segal to direct.

Though all involved are remaining mum on the plot, was willing to admit: "it's an action ensemble comedy in the vein of Ocean's Eleven, where the casting becomes an event.".

Added Ewing, "It is a bunch of these terrific actors getting together and having a good time‚ it's that kind of thing."

I don't know, sounds a lot like Tropic Thunder.

Peter Segal has directed other comedies including The Longest Yard, 50 First Dates and Tommy Boy.
