Poltergeist
With just about every book and graphic novel acquired for adaptation, the studios are looking back to the classics (to destroy). Falling into MGM's crosshairs, Poltergeist is getting prepped for a remake.
Scribes Scared Into Poltergeist Remake
MGM has picked up writing team Stiles White and Juliet Snowden -- who penned Boogeyman -- to scare up a script for a new Poltergeist.
Since the original 1982 flick written by Steven Spielberg spawned two sequels, one can assume that MGM is thinking re-birth of a franchise.
While the studio has yet to find a director, they do have the right idea when it comes to their writing team. White and Snowden are about as specialized as one can get in the horror genre, with projects under their belt that include Knowing and The Birds remake.
