Tyler Perry's Meet the Browns
Wow, there sure are a lot of pretty people in Meet the Browns. Sofia Vergara looks painfully gorgeous in Hi-Def. Close-ups lovingly enhance the detail in her perfect skin, and normal shots just make her glow. Angela Bassett still has her Stella groove on. The guys look all right too.
Blu-Ray Review: Tyler Perry's Meet the Browns
Tyler Perry’s movies aren’t designed to be visual feasts, but they hold up respectably on Blu Ray. You’ll see some grain, but that’s just because it was shot on film, and the point is the drama, not enhancing the setting.
The lighting is somewhat flat, but always bright to show off everyone’s good looks. It makes the south look golden, though even the opening in the city looks golden too, so there’s not a real difference. The purple hair pops out of those settings.
But whatever, I missed the screenings of this so if I’m going to catch up, at least it’s nice to look at on Blu Ray.
