Terminator Salvation: The Future Begins is full of familiar characters from the Terminator series. John Connor is all grown up and Kyle Reese is still pining for that photo of Connor's MILF. We will meet some new characters too, including Marcus Wright, played by Sam Worthington.
Talking w/Sam Worthington on Terminator Salvation
"I look at this movie as what makes Kyle Reese Kyle Reese, what makes John Connor John Connor," said Worthington. "My character's almost like a bridge between. I look at my character as a bridge to how they connect and how they grow. He's a drifter and it's more when you see the movie."
Whatever Wright is, many roles in the Terminator world require actors to get in heavy makeup. So that's a hint. "Well, the makeup you just sit there. It's the other guy's job to make you look good, to be honest. They're doing the hard work. It's not that hard to sit in the makeup chair and allow the other guys to do their job. They're the artists making you look good so I just sit there."

Needless to say, Worthington finds himself in many situations that could result in graphic wounds to his character's face and body. "In this movie I've been blown up, shot at, mined, blown a few mines, napalm, you know name it, I've f*cking had it. And how do you prepare for that? You just get in and do your job, simple as that."
2008 is going to be a big year for Worthington, with Terminator and James Cameron's Avatar coming out, but he is modest. "No one knows what's going to happen next year. No one. That's the thing is all I can do is my job and do it to the best of my ability. That's it and we'll see what happens next year. You might think I'm sh*t. Talk to me next year."
Terminator Salvation: The Future Begins opens to theaters on May 22nd, 2009.
