Let's keep this adaptation train rolling! After a week of movie news, mostly revolving around casting updates for upcoming adaptation, we are now told that George Clooney is in talks with DreamWorks to star in Up in the Air, the adaptation of the popular Walter Kirn novel.

To be directed by Jason Reitman off a script he wrote, Up in the Air will feature Clooney as an unapologetic corporate downsizer whose untethered life is consumed by collecting air miles.
Ivan Reitman, Tom Pollock, Joe Medjuck, Daniel Dubiecki and Jason Reitman will produce.
Reitman had been working on the script for the past five years, working on it sporadically. He began adding the final touches this spring. He completed the script weeks ago and only recently showed it to Clooney.
