Tiny Toon Adventures
I remember watching Tiny Toons as a teenager. I was probably just a little too old to still be watching afternoon cartoons, but they had enough depth of humor to keep me captivated, especially with all the inside Hollywood stuff. For what it's worth, I was probably playing Doom with the TV on in the background.
DVD Review: Tiny Toon Adventures
So the first DVD release of the series was something I wanted to revisit. The bonus feature included is a surprisingly in-depth look not only at the Tiny Toons, but the legacy of Looney Tunes' cartoons as well.
The offspring of the original creators discuss the evolution of each key Looney Tune character before even getting into Tiny. Concise and to the point, the first eight minutes of this spot is fascinating.
They get a tad more bogged down in development once they get into their show, but still it's behind the scenes stories involving Spielberg. They address the motivation behind each new character as well.
Best of all, this is a featurette for adults. They don't dumb it down for the kiddies. If kids are interested in animation, they're going to have to learn big words and like it!
