Can we blame Harry Potter for this one also? No, not this time.
After Warner Bros. decided to pull Potter from November to some time way later in 2009, films have begun shifting dates all over the month. Twilight quickly shifted into the old date for Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince and now Australia will be pushed back from November 14th (before Potter's initial release) to November 26th.
Australia Coming November 26th
20th Century Fox initially had it planned to get Australia in domestic theaters within 48 hours of the film's premiere down in, you guessed it, Australia. While the move would suggest that Fox is finding some breathing room without Potter sharing the same month, it turns out that their reasoning was to give director Baz Luhrmann some breathing room.
Australia is currently shooting some final shots in Australia with the lead cast.
