Diane Kruger
Forget Nastassja Kinski, as it will be Diane Kruger stepping in as the eye candy for Quentin Tarantino's Inglorious Bastards.
Diane Kruger Cast for Inglorious Bastards
Diane Kruger has been cast as Bridget Von Hammersmark. She isn't the only new addition, as German star Til Schweiger has also agreed to be drafted into Tarantino's service.
Inglorious Bastards revolves around a French girl's (Kruger) revenge on the Nazis and also follows a band of American Nazi killers. Both story lines eventually converge.
Tarantino did initially reach out to Kinski for the title female role, he even flew to Germany to meet her, but a deal couldn't be reached. Kruger should make a fine replacement, as she is German-born and can handle scenes in both German and English.
Schweiger will play a member of the Nazi killer team, headed by Brad Pitt's character, Lt. Aldo Raine.
The duo will join a cast that currently includes Brad Pitt, Christoph Waltz, Daniel Bruhl, Eli Roth and Mike Myers.
