Taking advantage of his newfound momentum thanks to his cameo role in Tropic Thunder, Tom Cruise might be looking to provide his voice to the next Shrek installment.
Tom Cruise Villain for Shrek Goes Fourth?
CinemaBlend has received a tip claiming that Tom Cruise is in talks with DreamWorks to voice the villain in Shrek Goes Fourth.
The sequel is due out in 2010 and this time it’s being directed by Mike Mitchell, who is rumored to be something of a Tom Cruise fan. He also has a history of working with high-profile Scientologists. In 2005 he directed Kelly Preston in Sky High.
As of right now, you may want to take this rumor with a grain of salt. Even if this is the case, the casting can completely change between now and the film's release in 2010.
I for one like the direction Tom Cruise is heading. But, then again, I never stopped liking the actor during that little phase he went through.
