Summer Glau is back for a second season of Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles. You weren’t worried when she blew up in the first season finale, were you? She’s a terminator. That’s nothin’.

“Well, she's going a bit haywire,” said Glau. “I don't want to give too much away, but it's very dangerous and very scary for John, because he needs to be able to trust Cameron with his life, and he needs to feel that he knows what she's going to be all the time. She's struggling to try to pull it back together.”
A new love interest for John may give Cameron some confusing feelings, even though she’s not supposed to get jealous. “Then he meets this girl, and he kind of turns his back on her, and so she's lost her purpose in life because he's being very rebellious. So Cameron is left to try to pick up the pieces.”
Later in the season, producers promise an episode explaining Cameron’s origin. That’s especially exciting to the actor playing her. “Every script is better than I thought it could be. It was a big deal for me though, because I've been waiting for this. Josh [Friedman] and James [Middleton] didn't give anything away in the beginning, so I kind of had to create my own decisions about where Cameron came from and who she was.”
A whole season later, all that performance will pay off. “It's the most difficult acting I've ever done. Very, very demanding, and I wanted to do my best because many people don't get a script like that, especially in TV. It's just a really special script and it's definitely my favorite.”
Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles returns Monday, Sept. 8 on FOX.
