Heroes returns for the third season with the beginning of its third volume, "Villains." Even though Milo Ventimiglia plays good guy Peter Petrelli, he offered a take on what this new volume could mean.
Ventimiglia Powers Up for Heroes Season Three
"I think there's going to be a lot of badasses in it," said Ventimiglia. "I think there's going to be a lot of conflict. There's going to be a lot of struggle. There's going to be a lot of bad guys floating around."
"Villains" seems to promise more screen time for the likes of Sylar, but Ventimiglia also reminded fans that it could reveal some new sides to other characters. "I think there's definitely a light and dark side to everybody. It just depends on what kind of situation we find ourselves in to bring that out. So we're walking in shadow or walking through the light."
Milo Ventimiglia is Peter Petrelli
The beginning of the season features the Petrelli brothers together, said Ventimiglia. "Peter and Nathan are always a staple. They're connected. I think keeping those two characters, keeping the brother Petrelli apart for very long is a detriment to something that's great between those two characters. I've spent a lot of time with Adrian [Pasdar] happily."
The return of Pasdar reveals the second time Nathan has almost died but come back. Third time won't be the charm though. "I know that at the beginning of this year Tim [Kring] said to me, and I don't know what he said to everyone else, but he said, 'If you die this year you're dead.' So those of us that do have that ability, myself and Claire, the two of them are the two that really can't [die], or there could be more."
