Now that The Dark Knight has made $500 million domestically, everyone wants to know who's back for the sequel. Obviously, Batman. Probably not the Joker just due to real life circumstances. What about Two-Face?
Aaron Eckhart on Two Face's Mortality
"No," said Aaron Eckhart. "I'm not coming back. Look, I'm nobody. I'm a cog so I have no say over this sort of stuff, but I'm sure that there are so many other characters that they can whip together."
But come on, even though he fell from a construction site, death has never stopped a comic book villain. "I think in contract negotiations it's a problem."
At least it gratifies the actor to know that everyone wants to see him again. "I dig it. Write your congressman. I like it. I like that for the first time in my career, I'm getting fan mail from kids, eight year olds, the handwriting that they have. 'My name's Bill. I really like the film.' I've never had that before. I think that's fun. I think somebody told me they're going to be Harvey Two Face for Halloween which is cool. That sort of stuff, yeah, it's funny talking about that movie. I'll say to a kid, I said to two kids the other day, 'You seen The Dark Knight yet?' They said, 'Yeah, we saw it.' Then I come to find out two seconds later they've seen it four times. People are really going back and seeing it many times. My parents saw it I think 12 so far. They're sick that it's going out of the theaters."
