Jude Law
While we're told that Jude Law is only negotiating with Warner Bros. to play the part of Watson in Sherlock Holmes, there are now some sources claiming he's got the gig. I don't want to go too far out on the limb here, but I'd say there is a 90% chance that Law is already Watson.

If this is the case, Jude Law will be joining Robert Downey Jr. in Warner Bros. and Village Roadshow Pictures' Sherlock Holmes. For those of you who've been living under a rock, Watson is Holmes' sidekick. If you thought he was the villain, feel free to smack yourself.
The film will incorporate the classic tales written by Sir Arthur Conan Doyle, as well as the comic book "Sherlock Holmes." Studio is still casting some of the principal roles, including the villain, Blackwood.
